Whether your kids are going back to the hustle and bustle of
school life, or your toddler is attending kindergarten for the first time, you
can’t go wrong with furnishing your child’s bedroom with a sturdy study desk.
The KidKraft Avalon Desk exudes a largely minimalist design, featuring a flawless
looking white finish. In fact, it’s one of the things that caught my attention
straight away (and might probably catch yours, too). It just looks so clean. While the neutral white ensures
that it will look great in any bedroom, you might want to consider this for
older children if you don’t want it consistently covered in paint and crayon
stains.
Design-wise, there’s not much to complain about. It doesn’t
have very fancy curlicues built into every corner, but its minimalism is part
of its appeal. The chair matches the table perfectly, though both chair and
desk were designed to go well with other kinds of furniture. Still, if you’re
considering getting the KidKraft Avalon Desk, I highly suggest you get the
matching chair, so the heights of both correspond to each other. (Believe me,
there’s nothing more frustrating than studying on a desk that’s either too high
or too low for you.)
Functionally, the KidKraft Avalon Desk exceeds expectations.
The desk provides ample space for your kids to work, as well as a central drawer
at the bottom to store various school supplies. The hutch is a convenient
addition, as well, providing storage options at the top of the desk for easy
access. There are four or five divisions to help keep things organized—more
than enough for your children’s school things. All in all, it’s an excellently
built school desk, one that your child would find extremely useful at home.
