Mod Mom Furniture: Storage For The Modern Mother (And Father)!

 

Mod Mom is a company founded by a mother and designer, Kiersten Hathcock, and is a perfect fit for My Urban Child.  The company’s primary focus is to manufacturer modern boxes for storage, but they have recently expanded into bedroom furniture as well. Kiersten made use of her passion for woodworking to come up with modern storage pieces inspired by mid-century style, specifically made with her kids wants and needs in mind.  She only uses eco-friendly birch plywood, non-toxic paints, water-based stains and low VOC water-based finishes. 

 

Mod Mom Furniture - Maude Toy Box and Book Cubby

 

 

This is a toy box and book cubby in one!  The bird lid lifts off to expose the toy box interior.  It has heirloom quality with mortise joints.  The branches and flowers are made from real wood walnut veneer appliques.  For your convenience, this item ships fully assembled with the exception of screw on mid-century style tapered legs.  Also, the bird lid comes in two different colors, green and blue.

The Owyn Toy Box leaf lids lift off to reveal two storage compartments.  This item also has real wood walnut veneer applique branches, mid-century style legs, and ships fully assembled minus the legs.  It is made from half inch eco-friendly birch plywood with non-toxic paints with a non-toxic low VOC water-based polyurethane finish.
